Scriptures: John 14:25–27; John 14:27; Mark 4:35–41 Big Idea: The world promises peace you can get, but Jesus offers peace He alone can give. The World’s Peace: possessions, political power, escape, circumstantial calm, tolerance, self-reliance, relationships, temporary safety. Definition of Peace: God’s wholeness in you, even when the world around you is falling apart. 3 Lessons from the Storm (Mark 4:35–41): 1. He’s not leading you into a storm, He’s taking you to the other side. – Sudden moments aren’t surprises to Jesus. – Don’t let “suddenly” rob you from permanent promises. 2. He’s shaping you through the storm, but don’t shape who He is out of the storm. – Don’t turn on the Teacher in the trial. – God is always bigger than the circumstance. – You can carry peace even when you don’t feel it. 3. Don’t waste a storm — know Him more. – The question isn’t “Who is He?” but “Who am I that I wouldn’t obey Him?” – Every crisis is an invitation to deeper trust.
